Description
The Delft University of Technology offers a number of excellence scholarship programs for international students. TU Delft’s mission is to make a significant contribution towards a sustainable society for the twenty-first century by conducting ground-breaking scientific and technological research which is acknowledged as world-class, by training scientists and engineers with a genuine commitment to society and by helping to translate knowledge into technological innovations and activity with both economic and social value.
TU Delft Excellence Scholarships are in line with the research-based initiatives such as Health, Energy, Globalization and Infrastructures & Mobility which are among the most important themes in today’s society. TU Delft aims to make an important scientific contribution to solving issues facing society that relate to these four themes, working from a thematic, multidisciplinary cooperation. Moreover, TU Delft is in the process of raising its international profile in several areas, some of them relatively new. This is to be achieved by clustering research capacity – either physically or virtually – in a number of university-wide institutes. This clustering of high-quality research capacity puts us in a better position to join national and international consortia and networks, and also makes us more attractive to top scientific talent.
