Located on the edge of a fertile plain (la vega) with the snow capped Sierra Nevada rising dramatically behind it, Granada is certainly worth seeing. But it’s not the location that draws visitors, and certainly not the ungainly modern city; it is Moorish Granada they come to see, and in particular the Alhambra Fortress Palace complex, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful architectural gems in the world.

At the moment you arrive in Granada, you almost automatically  feel amazed by the city, I won’t lie is a small city, if you are looking the sensation of the Big city maybe you need to come back to the research and find a better place that suits you.

But every time you decide to take a walk in the Center or the Albaycin you will find a great adventure, and an amazing view to keep with you.

So, like an erasmus the budget is not our best friend, like a plus this amazing city have a great gastronomie that is presented as a Tapas (“small” portions of food). For example, for 2 Euros you can have the amazing tapa and a caña (glass of beer), and believe me with two beers you have your lunch!

In Granada, there are four University Campuses, as well as the “Campus Centro”, in which all the centres spread throughout the historic part of the city are brought together. The UGR‘s policy of using buildings of historical and cultural value has enriched its heritage, as well as promoting the restoration and maintenance of these buildings. So, take a look of the great educational offer that Granada can offer for this one time experience.

The  privileged geographical location due to its proximity to the Sierra Nevada, an excellent ski resort and the Mediterranean coast, with several major tourist sites, including Motril, Almuñécar and Salobreña.

So don’t worry if you don’t have plans for the school holiday and you need to stay. For sure you will find a lot things to do.
